Bicyclists end up learning quickly where the uphill spots are...Where I live is rather flat. We certainly have our literal peaks and valleys. Now western Maryland is a different story with the Appalachian Mountains.

How strange it is that the elements can change a landscape over time. I had no idea that New Zealand was formed in such a way. Love the photo.

I know it would be an exciting trip, I'd love to be able to travel and
see it - but old bones and other body parts make that a no-go. Love your descriptions of it.
