It's nice to see that something is still used from the old town. A lot of our farms in my area have turned to housing developments.

Good morning
I love this story. What a wonderful time to live. We share similar roots. Three generations of my paternal grandfathers were all farmers in Delaware on the Maryland border.

It sounds very much like farming in this country in those times, and
the stories about sons following in their dad's footsteps - I guess we all sprouted from the same cultural seed. Sometimes I think modern ways are a mistaken idea.

Farming must have been tough. A pity it had not been in U.K. Those who had land handed down to them are in prime position. Selling for building etc. I bet you never had a ride on the big horses.

How interesting. The land looks so flat. Here in Missouri the land is all up-hill and down hill and the plowed land all wavy over the hillocks.
