Many never get that chance to say I'm sorry or I forgive you. You were lucky in being able to do that.

Very touching. We can feel your pain and the strength of your emotional growth, and we admire you for your forgiving nature and your compassion toward your mother after suffering so much because of her mental illness. This is really a good story in spite of the disturbingly painful topic,

There is either a loose end or else I have missed something. In the beginning of the story you are there to meet someone and then you have a chance meeting with the three ladies. But in the last paragraph of this post you pay the bill and leave. What happened to the person you were going to meet? Please tell me if I didn't understand something in the story. Well done.

Good for you. Congratulations on forgiving her for you must have benefited from the trauma by doing so. We parents make mistakes and I wasn't any Mother Saint but no child should be put through what you endured. Your mother must have been very sick to behave like this.

For TAPS & FormerStudentIntern & Anyone Else Reading

The next chapter of this story will also be three to four segments long, and the nice part of the is over for quite a while. This is where things turn ugly.

REAL ugly.

It is hard to imagine how bad can be the lives of some children until we read something like this.

This comes across as therapeutic to the reader. I'm looking forward to seeing Mom's further response.
