Re: Sherry G,

Oh, that would be impossible for me! I have had heartburn and I'm glad it's not a frequent thing. Diabetics have to eat on a more-or-less regular schedule in order to maintain blood-sugar levels. Going without for more than 4-5 hours can be a problem!

Re: Goldiec,

It is so confusing and complicated, it's no surprise people are intimidated and overwhelmed by it. It also requires changes in comfortable life-choices, like the reduction of carbs, and of impulsive eating and boredom eating. I also was making some big assumptions, like that it would be painful to do insulin twice a day. It was when I actually asked a diabetic friend how it really was, that I stopped being afraid to take a step in that direction. And taking that step, I found so much support and encouragement, it was not hard to keep going.

Is there another kind of diabetes?

Re: CCT,

Edible things. They are great dumpster-divers, particularly. They are also playful, clever, and inquisitive and don't take nonsense from cats or dogs or anyone.

Good afternoon

I'm jealous! I cannot snack or eat before bed without suffering later for it from heartburn. This is why I serve our dinner in the early afternoon and then refrain from evening snacks and movie treats. It sucks!

Good Afternoon

Ciel, I have had nights like you describe in your post.  I have several friends that have sugar diabetes and they do not follow the doctor's orders.  I'm glad that you are taking the extra step to take care of yourself.

Good for you, one has to tolerate at times to achieve a result. I wonder what the raccoons want?
