Kabu, I'm so glad it's been cooler for you. We had a hot weekend but it's raining now. Our garden can use the rain. It's nice that you have someone to cut the grass. There's a lot of grass to be cut here too. Our hummingbirds have been visiting daily and I love watching them. There's still no sign of that psychotic black squirrel and I'm very thankful for that. Enjoy your Sunday evening.

Just the word "vermin" makes me cringe. Once when I was a little girl a rat somehow got into our kitchen and my mother went after it with a broom while yelling to my dad in the living room to come help. I saw it cornered and snarling at my mom and I never forgot it. I ran to my bedroom and covered my head with a pillow. My Dad was equal to the task and I never saw one in person again.

Seems a lot of squirrels everywhere you go. Of course you don't eat them.
We used to eat pigeons but no one fancies them now so they eat the young
cabbages, don't mind them its rats we hate the problem they feed on the bird tables
at night, Well so Archie said as he used to see them on his nightly milkround.
I have installed several gadjets that are supposed to deter vermin.

probably not a battle over the territory but a courtship. I hope they live happily ever after.
