Talk about losing one's mind. I really miss mine these days. I cannot for the life of me remember names. names of film stars writers, old friends I have lost touch with; I don't know what cushion my mind got lost under but I wish I could find it !

Re: Pat,

The carbs are tricky! Too few, and the liver can react by sending extra sugar into the bloodstream. The rule of thumb is to keep carbs to 30 per meal, 15 per snack. I didn't understand this for the longest time: tried cutting out the carbs pretty much altogether, and probably made my diabetes worse. Also, meals alternating with snacks about every 3-4 hours: If I get hungry I should eat, I'm told. For me, keeping to a regular schedule is the hardest part!

I've come up pre-diabetes and dread the thought of 'graduating' to

the real thing. I've cut way back on sugar and carbs, hoping my next exam will show a bit of weight loss and a better A1C reading. Hang in there, and keep on with those days you get to run spontaneous errands...  Stay cool.

Good Morning

Ciel, I hope the insulin helps regulate your diabetes.  I know very little about it but I'm wishing you well.  Summer is in full swing and it's going to be very hot again today and then hopefully it will cool off.  Our psychotic squirrel has taken off and I'm very happy about that.  The last thing I need is for a squirrel to get in the house.  My hummingbirds are enjoying their feeder and they seem to like to visit in the evening.  I hope you have a great day.

My mom was a diabetic and it is very difficult. I hope you have much success in getting and keeping your numbers where you want them to be.

What a bother diabetes is.  I've had to closely watch mine for years even though I've never had to use insullin as my older sister did.  Recently I've lost some weight so that has helped to keep it down.
