Good morning

I love that vibrant yellow. It is sunny, warm, and welcoming. Rain is nice to have in the evenings, but I prefer hot and sunny days to boost my veggies, herbs, and flowers.

Overall, I would say temperature-wise, we've had a mild summer. I'll take it.

Good Morning

Kabu, I hope you stay cool during this heat wave.  My allergies have really been acting up this year because of something in the air.  I've been taking an allergy pill every morning to keep them under control.  Next week we are going to have a few days in the 90s.  I'm not looking forward to it.  I found my lavender plant at the garden center yesterday and now I just have to wait for it to grow and then I'm going to make my lavender extract.  I found some beautiful flowers at the garden center too.  They are all planted and we put miracle-gro on them.  I hope they do good.  We were lucky because the garden center gave us a $5 coupon because we spent so much money.  Roy said that's it for flowers.  We have enough now.  haha  I hope you have a nice Sunday.

Family allergies to golden rod but it is a pretty yellow.   My hubby was allergy prone and he hated kleenex or any other tissues and insisted on my laundering his cloth hankies.  That was gross.

I know a lot of people are allergic to golden rod, but I remember the scent of it being part of the New York summer, that and ragweed, another serious allergen for a lot of people!

I have 2 sons who are highly allergic to goldenrod, but it is beautiful...

Summer in Omaha is very similar to summer in the St. Louis area - humid and sweltering at times, with the occasional thunderstorm. It's a good climate for growing tomatoes...
