Perhaps one day your grandchildren will visit, You cannot be expected to keep
travelling for such a long time.

A nice visit with the grandkids is always special. You are amazing granparents. There is nothing wrong with a little spoiling here and there. I am glad that you enjoyed your time with them.

Sounds like a lovely visit, and you're right about the roles of
parents vs that of grandpa and grandma. It's good for a kid to have older friends.
