Mine in the oven too, husk intact. I tried the boiling with milk in water. Didn't see any difference either.

I'm so glad you can eat corn on the cob. I think it's good cooked in all different ways. We like ours steamed.

The only thing about that recipe is that we add jalapeno peppers in place of the bell peppers.

Good afternoon
I simmer mine in sugar & salted water for just a few minutes. I then add fresh creamery butter. We also like black bean and fiesta corn salad on taco Tuesdays. Best Black Bean and Fiesta Corn Salad Recipe - How to Make Southwest Fiesta Salad (food52.com)
