Kids seem to only be offered very limited histories, unless they have to live through historical times themselves. Even now, as an adult, one has to view what's offered with a critical and even skeptical eye, knowing that each historian has their own point of view and opinions. I like to find multiple sources for it, even historical novels and movies, to get a wider view.

Surprisingly, as a kid I hated history, but now I can see things in a different perspective and how history was twisted and mounded into the bad shape ... now that the truth about history is all about political expediencies.
