A Long Haul

Well, I had bronchitis again and more rounds of antibiotic that was multipurpose. I had cellulitis also. The voodoo dr was unrelenting with hammer and spikes. Thank goodness for teleheath. I sure didn't feel like leaving the house.  I was referred to a vein clinic for evalution      to see if they could help cellulitis and pain. My insurance approved and I went for evaluation. I had reflux in left lower leg. I had a venous ablation the first of April. They inserted a butterfly needle and injected a soapy detergent. There was a new nurse practitioner and the Dr. ask if she could practice. I said yes. WRONG!!!! She went through the vein and injected the detergent into the tissue. The next day the pain at the site she injected was a 10. I called the Dr. but they did not return my call until afternoon. I had, by then, gotten the pain under control with ice packs.  I went into the Dr. office on Monday and he aspirated a blood clot from the site.  The voodoo dr left but did visit from time to time. The 8 sites were slow healing especially the site that infiltrated. I was able to walk without pain but the soreness and tenderness was still there. I was able to walk more. However, walking aggrevated the infiltration site and I developed an ulcer with radiating pain up my shin. Another round of antibiotics and another week off my feet. I started using lavender essential oil 4 times a day. The site is now healing.

I expect you jumped around with the little ones in your mind. Even that can be exhausting. I am sure you are loved and that is worth a bucketful of happiness.

All of us ask that question at one point in our lives.

Good evening

I love the freshness and all of the colors of Spring. It is my favorite season of all. It will be summer soon, and before we know it, another year will be gone. Time for whatever reason seems to be flying by. As for aging, that is a vicious process that requires care and dedication to keep it at bay. I do truly believe that age is just a number and that you are only as old as you feel.

I forgot to mention yellow.  With the sun shining brightly today and the temperature in the low seventies, the dandylions are popping up all over the yards and grounds of the place.  They look so pretty in the yellow state.

I know exactly when and how I got old. 20-20 when I had the three month sickness after Wiley went into permanent care. by the time I had recovered Wiley was starting to fade and covid kept us separated...and I have not had energy since then.

We can't seem to catch three warm sunny days in a row, so I'm

learning to get out there and take a deep breath while I can. The flowering trees are gorgeous here in this little town, which has a "tree city" designation, and there are a couple gardeners along the main drag who have traded in their lawn for a wide assortment of blooming daffodils, tulips, etc., The guy works in his yard every day except when there's snow.

Good Morning

Taps, I love the colors of Spring.  My magnolia tree is beautiful but with the cold temperatures for the next few days, I'm not sure how my flowers will hold up against the frigid temps.  I love watching the kids play and I always wonder where they get all their energy.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
