I would be lost without my microwave. They're not so expensive now though. I once lost a computer with a power surge - fried the hard drive totally. Lesson learned.

LOL... the microwave was the only thing in the house that wasn't on a surge protector! It had one, but once I set up Lisa's computer, I moved it into her 'office.' Oh well. For the need of a $6 surge protector cord, I lost a $200 microwave. LOL

Only takes on power outage to make us appreciate the times
when it is working as it should. I have surge protectors on my plugs, but sometimes that isn't enough to protect data or keep a microwave alive.
