- Go to RAINY DAY ON BRICK STREET
it seems as though trees here are really taking their time to get ready for
Spring and Summer. I am so looking forward to it all myself.Bella has not been around for a few days with her gorgeous fluffy tale.

It is always a little surprising how nature reacts although we have seen it many times
before. Last year snow was on the pear blossom and the signs are that this will be
repeated. We have two large walnut trees locally once they were always caught by
late frosts but for a decade or so they have proved to be very accurate and leaf up
when it is safe to do so. Perhaps your squirrel was testing the water. It must be ideal
if a nut store is not frozen over.

Buds are thinking of bursting out with leaves on the lilacs outside my kitchen window... Doves are egg-sitting... and there are flakes dancing carelessly in the air this morning. It's all very confusing. I don't know why, really--It's always like this in Colorado Springs, we should have accomodated to it by now!
Your Brick Street sounds gently idyllic!

Good morning
You have described such a peaceful scene. The sight of woodland creatures always makes me smile. The squirrels crack me up when they stretch out on their bellies to take a rest. As for those ghostly swings, I wrote about a haunted playground a few years ago. I know that is not the case with your neighborhood playground, but it made me think of it. Enjoy your calm day, they are few and far between.

Good Morning
Pat, I'm excited for everyone to come back to Brick street. I think once it warms up everything will get back to normal. I wish that Hawk would find a new place to live. Everyone has to be cautious when he's around. I'm not sure where my squirrels are but possibly they are in hiding. Roy saw a red fox the other day. It's the second one we've seen over the years. Sometimes we get wild turkeys and I've heard that they can be mean. I'm really not sure but they might be causing a problem in the area. We have coyotes and the village is always telling everyone to watch their small animals. I hope you have a good day.
