Re: Re: Re: Re:

It's easy, just push chunks of meat and/or vegies on skewers and bbq them over the fire! By experience, you learn how to size the chunks, and which way to skewer things like mushrooms so they don't split.

adnohr, there's lots of hamburger, noodles, cheese, and some vegetables.  My family loves it.

Re:

Kabu, our sun is shining this morning but it's very deceiving.  It's brutally cold outside.  I hope you are staying warm.

Can't go wrong with a hamburger casserole. Yummy.

We are so used to losing hydro power out here that most people are geared for it. Generators, or wood stoves for heating and cooking, even little camping hotplates stored in a closte or garage in case.... What do you put in your hamburger casserole?

Brrrr yes that is a snow storm anywhere and the cold is coming through.

Re:

Ciel, that's a good idea!  I never thought of that.  I knew we could make tea in our kettle but I didn't think about marshmallows and I love them.

If your power goes down, you can always cook with the fireplace! Yay, toasted marshmallows! Yay, smores!

Re: Good morning

Sassy, we are trying to find birdseed but are coming up empty-handed.  Roy said after work he's going to stop at the mill and hopefully they will have some on hand. We are out of parmesan cheese and Roy's popsicles.  At this point, I'm just adding them to our grocery list.  I have to say you are very good to your birds.  I think they have a feast when they come to your house.  The breakfast bowls you are making for dinner sound really good.  I'm sure John is getting tired of staying at home in this winter snowstorm.  I feel so sorry for him but I know you are taking good care of him.  Stay warm and safe!

Good morning

Everything is a mess here too. I shoveled three times yesterday, salting the walkways each time. We are at freezing where the day's temperature is concerned. The neighbor helped me to shovel my car out so that I could run to the store. Chloe wanted cheese on her chili and I only had a little bit left in the fridge. It has stopped snowing, so I scraped out a path to the bird feeders and filled up their feeders, and layed a heap of seed, nuts, and corn on the ground for the feathered and furry babies to stay fortified through the winter elements. Your hamburger casserole is something that John would love. I am making breakfast bowls for our dinner today with bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, and cheese. Be safe and stay warm!
