Re: Re: Goldiec,

Ciel, we had a place along the back patio and every fall we would get one mouse.  Roy plugged the whole and I haven't seen one since then.  Thank goodness!

Re: adnohr,

Another of those things we have in common!

Re: CCT,

I know some of the access points in the house. I am thinking of getting the hose upstairs and flooding out the deck one of these days. Now I have the traps out, I've been keeping the cat door closed, as long as there are traps on cat-level. Though these new plastic ones they could probably not hurt themselves with.

Re: TAPS,

A doom box can take many forms... A good project when tv gets unbearably boring!

Re: Kabu,

Every time I think of ever moving again, I am moved to get rid of a few more things!

Re: Goldiec,

Ah, yes, it starts with the Doom Drawer!

The mice come in, I think, under the front deck where I have seen them in summer. I suspect there is access to under-the-floor there. Also, I've seen them getting into the garage, and have found mouse holes in a couple of baseboards. Those, we plugged up with steel wool.

Re: sassyass,

So, yes, there are doom-shops, too!

I like the term! And have too many doom boxes lying around here.

Sadly I have not got the room to stack them. Although it is a good idea.  A pity you cannot find where the mice are coming in. It does seem a cat is a good deterrent

The nearest thing to a DoomBox would be for me my two six-shelves book cases.  I continually plan to begin work on sorting and clearing but just can't begin.  It's easier to watch TV and plan for tomorrow.

I don't have much of those special things left. Too many moves in my life.

Good Evening

Ciel, we don't have a Doom Box but we do have a junk drawer and I have no clue in the world what is in there.  I'm wondering how the mice are getting inside your house?

I have never heard it referred as a doom box, although it sure can be.

I try not to accumulate items that would eventually end up in such a box, but life happens. I suppose this may be why so many thrift stores have shelves heaping with so many bizarre objects.

Putting off until tomorrow seems to be a pattern for me.

I keep telling myself I'll get at it. "doom" box. I hate to think about my kids having to sort through my stuff some day, and even more than that I hate to think they'll be saying what my sibs said when they cleared out mom's house - what the hell did she keep that for?   Or maybe it's a rite of passage and I should just not worry.
