It was said that nearly 9 out of 10 in a local hospital have the virus but did not get vaccinated. It is such a waste of resources.

Catching mice here too. and Elie does her part when she can. She's my resident 'cat'. 
The other 2 dogs are not fast enough, but Elie is a whip! As for irresponsible, delusional, covid nay-sayers...I better not go there. I'll be writing for hours.

Those terrible fires were northwest of Denver, between there and Boulder, but we got the winds before I left, and more while I was gone. Everything is intact here, though.
The mice come inside to enjoy the warmth and other perks, where the cats remain outside. I am doing some substantial cleanup to remove 'perks' as well as mice now.

It sounds like you're settling in at home - I thought of your place and
your view of Pike's Peak when I heard about the deadly grass fires in your area - what a devastation. This has been a hell of a year for weather-related crises. I was a bit surprised to learn of your successful mouse hunt - was thinking the kitty cats would tend to protect your property from them. Crossing fingers all your tests come back negative.
