You'd have to be a bloomin' idiot to have no fear of fire. That fear is
your survival instinct. Heroism isn't the doing of something that doesn't scare you - it's when you know you could die and you do it anyway. Those memories live with you - and to does the kid (now probably a grandpa) you pulled out of the fire. It's good you don't have to remember losing the child as the roof caved in.
