Friends here in town have apparently become something of a legend for offering, along with the candies in a big bowl, a potato. Interesting how many kids choose the potato!

Poor Mr. Graysome. Animals fear fireworks and candy pigs. Better you than me. We live next to the marina on a dead-end street so we do not get the candy grubbing rascals. They all head to town hill in our small borough.

The best part about Halloween is the candy left over...You got 5 times the trick-or-treaters I did.

I think you had the most fun, but it could be a tossup.
Don't get trick or treaters here as a rule. That one little girl who came by my house wasn't from this neighborhood - the only trick or treater I've had here in 3 or 4 years. I hope she enjoyed the evening, trick or treating along main street and the parade later. It's always a big deal here.
