Perhaps you should suggest Uber for rides for Charlie and roomie. I hope today was better for you. Often my family doesn't do "people" well.

Grrrr - I had to cut off a couple of 'friends' who did the same. Help them once and they thought it should be a regular thing. I put up with it for awhile then began to just say NO! Don't be surprised if Rob doesn't even realize that he is being a user. My friends were astonished that I feel that way.

That would have irritated me too. I agree with Pat_B's thoughts on the matter. He went above and beyond rude. I would let it be known that any future trips will require gas money upfront. It's a shame that your entire day was blown due to another's ignorance. IO hope that today was a better day for you.

Actually my Tuesday was very pleasant. Nila picked me up (in her car) and we went places and did things, had lunch out together, sat and talked for a long time, finished our meal by stopping by the ice cream parlor for a Jamoca single-dip ice cream in a sugar cone, did a little shopping. Then we each went to our places and took a nice nap at the same time. Wish your day had been better.

Yes very nice to have a car at hand. Not only the time but it is quite expensive.
There is a petrol shortage here. due to the shortage of lorry drivers who normally
deliver to the petrol stations. One thing after another. It is nice to forget it all at times.
