Sometimes, phubbing is a good thing, but if you ignore the wrong people, you may never get a chance to talk to them again. It's happened to me three times in the last year. People who I ran into, spoke with briefly, and then left with every intention of 'getting back to them,' but they died a day or two later.
That hurts your heart a lot more than you would think. Ask me, I know first hand.
