Re: Re: Re: Goldiec,

The Compass Rose Traveling Theater is a little stage built on a flatbed trailer. It was made by some people--the Dunkle family-- for their Renaissance Faire shenanigans out in California. I bought it from them ~5 years ago. It now resides on Charlie's driveway!

We have made it available for people and organizations to rent for their events, though it has been a kind of lazy effort to actually put it out there. But for the past several years, we have been the second stage at the Northglenn Pirate Fest 80 miles north of here. But not this year--pandemic costs have cut the city budget of Northglenn a lot, and they could not afford us this year.

And yes, Charlie made the laminated cards for the Shakespeareoki.

Compass Rose bits are the performance pieces we've set up for the Stage.

I will have to transfer photos to flickr, then will share them here.

Re: Re: Goldiec,

Ciel, this is awesome.  I look forward to hearing all about it.  What are Compass Rose bits?  I love the idea of having an open stage in your yard.  Did Charlie make out the large laminated cards?  I know he's excited about the event.

Re: sassyass,

Happily, after a few bouts of back-fires, the bike guy gave up.

I fear there will be no guac from these 'cados : It is unlikely they will ever be actual, fruit-bearing trees in this climate. But guac happens... but without cilantro. No cilantro in anything, ever, in my cooking or on my plate!

Re: Pat,

My first thought most mornings, right along with What time is it, is What day is it?

Today, it's going to be a grocery-shopping day, and possibly lunch out.

Re: Kabu,

I have heard nothing of the Motorbike Guy since the last explosive noise. Maybe they blew up.

Re: Kabu,

I am hoping she isn't developing diabetes! But I have been doing some energy-work with her, and it is since starting that, she is visibly improving. I will write something more about this soon in my Universe blog.

M Graysome will also probably be better when the stresses of travel fade.

Re: Goldiec,

Our next event is, I think, Charlie's birthday party which will be an 'open stage' in our own yard. We will be introducing one of our signature Compass Rose bits:

SHAKESPEAREOKI!

We have large laminated cards with passages from Shakespeare which volunteers willing to dare can read from the stage.

Karma can be a real bitch.

I am not a fan of loud noises of that nature. His backfiring bike could ruin a quiet moment in the yard for the birds and humans alike. As for your avocados, could I have a small serving of some guacamole, please?

Retirement plus being hunkered down for Blogit ends up making

Saturdays the same as any other week day as far as activities go. I did get out early to Wally World - I think it might have been Friday, and found a skein of outrageously colorful yarn that I couldn't resist. Also found a large one in the off-white shade I call 'natural' that I can put together with some leftovers in various colors to make striped beanies or scarves. So I've got the tools to resist sittin' & snackin'. I enjoy thinking about your doves, the flowers and plants - and the view.  Keep on truckin'.

Good Evening

Ciel, I hope you and Charlie have a good night.  I love your idea of Karma!  I'm glad the weather has been nice for you today.  Our high today was 86 but we didn't need the air.  I didn't check but I think the humidity is down.  Is Charlie planning any new shows?  I love hearing about them.
