Re:
Kabu, everything is so expensive here too! Roy went to buy a 1/2 sheet of plywood and it was $52.00. That is simply unheard of.

Up here darling, I am waiting for them to charge me just to walk into the Supermarket. Prices have doubled at least.

Re:
Ciel, I love soup. It's been raining off and on today so soup was a good choice. I love the quiet too. Sometimes I eat soup for breakfast too.

Sassy, your meals always sound good! What did you make for your Father's Day gathering?

Over the fence garden talk with Roy. I had cut tree guy for neighbors. For myself, I defended my own.

I love the quiet after even after welcome and much-loved company! It sounds like a wonderful after-visit day, and both the soup and the thriving garden make me happy to hear about! I made soup for breakfast, in fact!

I bet that beef soup is yummy. I can smell it from here. I am making copykat whoppers for John with a side of fully loaded baked potatoes. I am having crab with a side of cottage cheese.

Re: Good morning
Sassy, it really has been busy here. Thankfully today it is quiet. I started my beef soup and it will be ready by dinner time. Our electricity went out this morning so I'm a little behind on everything but it's not too bad. At least I was able to start the crockpot. I'm doing my second load of clothes and I straightened up and put things away from the weekend.

Pat, thank goodness you missed the tornadoes! It's supposed to cool off here soon.

FSI, I have all kinds of projects I should be starting but for right now the trees and hot water heater were more than enough.

Good morning
You have a lot going on. This time of year is so much fun, but a bit hectic. Where the garden is concerned, John favors the peppers and I favor the tomatoes.

Overcast here this a.m. and 70 degrees, coolest it's been for several
days. We didn't get any rain even with all the looming clouds, lightning and stormy winds, but other places in this region got way plenty of that and tornadoes as well up near Chicago. Just now thanking my lucky stars all we had in this neighborhood was simmering heat.

It looks like the home projects are coming to a close right now. What a great feeling of accomplishment it is.
