Re: sassyass,

It felt eons away here, too--the mix-up with the appointments got me finally directed to an actual real human being, and suddenly it was "today!" In a couple more weeks, I will be happy to sit in a restaurant and have a nice sit-down meal I didn't have to make myself!

Re: Sea Gypsy,

I was prepared to go anywhere I had to, to get past this year-long fear of getting the worst of the virus. As high-risk, both over 65 and diabetic, even mildly occasionally asthmatic, it would have been a deathbed ailment for me. My kids would never forgive me, dying with this house so full of stuff and clutter and unsorted papers!

Re: Pat,

I don't want to use up my 'good Karma' account all at once! I will be happy enough with an early spring, and everyone I know and love getting vaccinated!

Re: Kabu,

I do hope they get it sorted and everybody willing, vaccinated! Personally, I wish the unwilling were required to get it, too, because without the greatest part of the population jabbed, the virus still has legs.

Re: CCT,

Yeah, it just isn't in me to streak through the town, waving copies of my little book! So I will just make announcements where they can be seen, and paid for a listing in the publisher's children's books catalog that they send out to bookstores, libraries, schools, etc.

I hope you get your 2nd jab soon, though I understand even just the first greatly reduces you risk of getting sick from this nasty virus!

Well, that's great getting it in one jab. We were supposed to have a second one after three weeks, but it all changed and now it will be twelve weeks next week. I have been put on the sheltered list, age-related I suppose. It does enable me to get a delivery of groceries whereas before it was a pain in the rectum. Good luck with the book, I don't think it is a way to get rich any longer though, well unless you could do something outrageous.

Oh How glad I am for you. It is dragging and lagging up here. Don't know when I can get started with the vaccine

Woo! Hoo! I hope the rest of the month is just as much fun.

Congratulations on everything! It was a very, very good day your way. I'm glad for you. And getting the vaccine was great! Still, not happening here unless one wants to drive a half an hour plus to a super-POD and walk far after fighting parking, and THEN walk through a huge convention center loaded with unvaccinated people and stand there for who-knows-how-long with them all. Counter-productive, imho. Congrats again!

That is great that you got vaccinated.

Thanks for the heads up concerning the pain level as far as the shot goes. I have to admit that I am a bit jealous. You killed three birds with one stone. I need to do some laundry. It is cold as a witch's tit in our area, and the vaccine feels like it is eons away.
