Re: Kabu

Wish you could have known her and seen her flower gardens and watched her talk with her yard birds.  She had perfect bird calls.

Re: Sea_Gypsy

I still miss her after all these years...She and her two sisters were so much fun, so precious, so special.

What a wonderful Lady, no wonder she had such beautiful children and grandchildren. I remember the poetry Rib Cage wrote and you sometimes shared with us.

I love this!  It's truly beautiful and makes me feel warm on a cold winter night.

Re: I used to love penning a letter with my fancy penmanship.

I tried that but I'd start out really good and gradually get worse and worse as I went along out of impatience.  LOL

Re: I love the poem, the thought behind it and the promise in it.

The most unique thing she did:  She was the secretary to the Ladies Auxiliary at her church and was supposed to take minutes of the meetings.  She always wrote the minutes of each meeting as poetry mentioning everyone in attendance.  The ladies just loved her reading the minutes at the next meeting.  Much laughing and commenting.

I used to love penning a letter with my fancy penmanship.

This is such a wonderful poem. It appears that the cold is to remain with us for at least six more weeks according to the rodent. Your post reminded me that I too have saved letters and cards from the 1970s that I sent and received from my mommom. She was my mother's mom. I always got along better with her than she did with her daughter. That saddens me to no end since I have such a wonderful relationship with my own granddaughter.

I love the poem, the thought behind it and the promise in it.

Thank goodness you had such a gifted mother.
