Agreed, it was interesting to see in more depth what's involved in the Inauguration traditions. The streaming coverage I was watching was presented by a couple of Capitol Building tour guides, so there was a lot of information about the locations, art and architecture, and their historic significance.

The celebrity guest list is what surprised me.
It was a nice mix, and JLo speaking in Spanish through a part of the Pledge of Allegiance was awesome.

first time I'd seen the presentation - I guess that is because they had to change the process due to the Covid restrictions. Quite a long first day on the job for the new president - and now a girl has reached the highest rank ever in America. My daughter posted a thing on Facebook - "Put your shoes on ladies, there's broken glass all over the place," meaning the glass ceiling has been shattered. Our daughters and granddaughters have a chance to do so much more than we could have believed when we were growing up. Yay!
