I still can't remember from one time to another what exactly I put in my soups or casseroles. It's a fly by the seat of your pants kind of cooking.

I might cook according to the recipe and then tweek it from there. I usually don't like the original recipe.

I don't cook much for one; just me. But what I do if I get the urge is cook what I know will succeed and I don't ever use a cook book or even measure ingredients. After a life time of kitchens at home, and when I used to run coffee shops, I never use a recipe. Mother taught we girls how to cook from an early age. Now though I am like, I 've been there and done that, let's see what the local bakeries and can do!!

I would have to say that most of the time I just start adding ingredients until I think it's right. I seldom follow a recipe. I've been cooking for a long time so I know what spices are best in different meals. My favorite spices that I put in almost everything are garlic, pepper, garlic salt, and celery seed. I do like Tumeric and paprika too.
