Well it was a kind and worthy effort in these trying times. Not many have your sensitive awareness of others needs.

Sometimes we do the work of angels, whether we know it or not.

That is so sad.

You are a book of wisdom. Your words obviously struck a chord with her. Sometimes a friendly smile and a listening ear are all that we need to start the healing.

Sigh

Poor woman. I guess she was grateful for talking to you, and she may have found some understanding.

Take care - stay safe

Pat, Oh my, I think meeting this lady was destiny.  Sometimes we are put in the path of someone that needs us at just the exact moment in time that we come upon them.  The universe picked you to console this sweet woman who was going through such a hard time.  Throughout reading this I had to smile because I'm sure neither one of you knew at the time that divine intervention was taking place in the aisle of the store.  We never know where or when we will be called upon to lend a loving heart to someone in need.

I love this post.  You are so wonderful to always be there for people, always giving.  I love you even though we have never met in person.
