We had oil heating but changed to Gas when oil went through the roof. I think oil has had a good run but things change so quickly. The oil burner did throw out plenty of heat though .Nice to think of things to cheer our Wiley up, good on you.

Very smart and energy saving by keeping the temperature at 68.

We have a cottage style home that isn't very large, so heating it is easy. I also wear heavier clothes to keep the thermostat from blaring just to stay warm. Btw, I love that bright red phone booth.

That is the perfect temperature to leave the heat on. I leave it around 68.

I'm so thankful that you are staying warm during these cold days.  We have hot water heat but I really wish we had forced air heat.  We can't change the heating system so we will have our hot water heat to keep us warm.  We also use electric heaters and the fireplace when we really need it.  Our fireplace insert has blower fans to circulate through the house so on really cold nights we are toasty warm.

When it's really cold outside I like to make dinner in the oven.  It really adds to the warmth of the house.  I love soup on cold days too.

I'm sorry that you and Wiley will not be close until this nasty virus has passed but I am glad that you will both be safe.  Trish is a wonderful person to have in your life.  She is very helpful to you, Wiley, and Mr. Graysome.

Enjoy your day and stay warm!

Your thermostat is set perfectly to my sense of comfort!

It's great you can provide comforts for Wiley even if you can't see him right now. And I'm glad you have Trish to look after you!

If I get to feeling cold, I just put on a crocheted cap and tie a warm scarf around my neck instead of turning up the heat.  If I am sitting down reading or watching tv, I put a fuzzy blanket over my knees.

It makes me happy that you're able to be cozy up there in the

"frozen north."  We had an oil heater in our little house when I was a kid, and the middle room of the house was always warm, even if the bedroom required us to be covered in down coverlets in winter. Luckily it didn't get below 30 degrees very often. Of course the woodstove kept the kitchen toasty...
