I never thought that I would pray for a cold front, but I am now.

What a worry for those folk. Everything seems to come at once. Yes the Doves probably seeking shelter . I have one large Hawthorn tree I let the ivy grow over it to provide shelter. I hate ivy though.

Winter coming in someplaces like for you, and fires raging, inothers. Oh dear. I am thinking that the doves with food and a warm safe corner to Winter, they are perfectly happy.

I hope the cold front brings some moisture and puts out the fires
entirely. It's heartbreaking to see the forest go up in smoke, terrifying to see the danger people are in, losing their homes. Somehow just hunkering down and wearing a mask anytime I go out the door doesn't seem like such a big deal now. I hope the doves are okay - I know the ones who live here seem to disappear in winter, I'm guessing they migrate... Stay safe.
