Re: sassyass,

Seems the only way I can be sure of a full night's sleep is a couple of Tylenol PM at bed time. Not every night, but sometimes enough to reset the normal pattern.

Re: Goldiec,

I've noticed that pattern: really hot summers balance with really cold winters. Today it's forecast to be in the low 70s. Some of those hummers migrate to Mexico through here, but I haven't seen or heard any lately.

Re: Kabu,

All that making room makes it easier to allow for the changes we don't choose.

Re: Shams-i-Heartsong,

So do I!  The five years I lived in Cleveland, it was like Ohio and October were the most natural of allies!

Re: CCT,

Your rain is sorely needed over here and westwards. And you are welcome to some of our sunshine.

Here, the temps will get maybe to low 70s F, which is ideal for an October day.

We have not had it quite cold enough for frosts but it is raining all day. I have not forgotten.

Thank you for the post. Yes, indeed, I do feel the need to change things up in my surroundings. I hope you have a wonderful day!

I am one who sets things around and leaves them there but recently i have been getting rid of so much andit makes for room for other things and i see that you are correct. The living room especially is looking fresh clean and a happy place to be.

I think we may get frost tonight and we are going to have to bring our plants in.  All year long we feed the birds and sometimes the squirrels try to get into their bird feeders. Sometimes the deer come up from the back and eat the birdseed off the ground. We have to pick the last of our peppers this afternoon.  I'm surprised at how fast our temps have dropped.  When we went out this morning it was so cold.  I'm having trouble getting used to this weather but truly I believe it was because our summer was so hot.  We had many days in the high 90's and that was unusual for Cleveland.  A few days maybe but not for as long as we had those temps. We will be storing our hummingbird feeder until next year.  I hope they all have a warm home for the winter.  I wonder where they go?  Does your house get a lot of light during the winter for your plants?  We have to put lights up for ours because our house has awnings and a lot of sun doesn't come through the windows. I hope you have a very good day.  What is the temp by you?

When I get like that, I rearrange the furniture.

I brought my plants and herbs indoors. Hopefully, they will all survive. As for dusting, I need to do some dust bunny removal myself. I can't believe that it is October either, for me and my hubby it means another year older. The strange dreams have occurred all year for me, and last night it got really chilly which woke me up. Sleepness nights are all a part of this crappy year.
