LOL, we wouldn't enjoy a Saint me thinks ...I believe that this is one of the loveliest of true love stories.

Re:

I've been telling her that. The girl has had a rough life, but she is turning around. I keep pointing her head to the future. I love her more than I can explain, but like a beaten pup, she still wants to turn around, but I promise you that I will take care of her and change her to look forward and enjoy the 'precious present.' I'll try to link to that story. It always moved me.

THANK YOU, my friend. Thank you to ALL of my friends here who made her feel so welcome. She delights in reading your comments.

You keep looking back...when you do that you can't see what is in front of you. Live in the present....it's called that for a reason. It's a gift from God. Focus on who and what is in the moment...in front of you. The two of you make a fantastic couple.

No more lecturing.

Lisa, when I got to the part about the Moose I caught my breath.  That could have gone so wrong!  Thank goodness your hubby had you go back to the car.  I'm really sorry that you've had some hard times in life but it sounds to me like things are getting a lot better for you.  To have someone that understands you and listens to you is priceless!  I'm so glad you heard from your Aunt.  She sounds like a beautiful person.  I do hope you get to go and visit her.  It's always a good feeling when we hear from the family. Don't be too hard on yourself because life happens and we can either fall into despair or hold our head high and put one foot in front of the other and make a new life for ourselves. I think you are making a new life for yourself and I think it's wonderful!  Take care!  Be careful when you go out walking!
