You can fix stupid! Those who don't think the rules apply to them will continue to think so.

Our ancestors sure did go through some really tough times! There were crooked politicians, authority figures, etc. even then, and a person could get hung for the simple reason that a power monger wanted whatever the person owned. Plus the wars, the lack of electricity...I could go on but we are all well aware of how strong they had to be. And they made it. And so will we!!

I am familiar with that song.
As for the Oregon fires, I too have family in southern Oregon, not far from the Phoenix fires near Ashland and Medford. So many people are being forced to vacate their homes. I don't know what I would do. Everything seems to be occurring at once. We get occasional tornadoes and blizzards, but that is about the extent of our natural disasters.

I remember that song. Here we have much bigger problems to consider than who says what and when on tv.

It is such a stressful time and my writing seems to help me clear my mind from all the negativity surrounding all of us! If I write about my gnomes, fairies or Zoey my little fire breathing dragon I'm happy. If I watch the news I'm not happy so I think I should concentrate on my characters and write my stories!
