Re: Halloween
I think you are right and I feel sorry for all the kids that enjoy dressing up and going door to door.

Unfortunately, I cannot imagine there being a traditional Halloween because of COVID. Hopefully, that changes, and we receive a miracle.

Re: Daycare
Corbin, I think there are but with the 6ft distancing rules, I think it hard for the centers to comply. I do believe from what I've heard on the news that they are not accepting as many children. Things are starting to open up though so hopefully people will have a place to take their children while they work.

Aren't there some companies that have daycare centers at their work locations?

Re: Hardship for families
Corbin, you are so right. I'm not sure what parents are going to do. I know that it is going to cause hardship for a lot of families.

The biggest problem is a large segment of families have both parents working? That rips into the household income if one has to take care of the kids.

Re:
BC_A, I've had the same thoughts. We are all in new territory and only time will tell.

I wonder about schools online. Remember correspondence courses? The concept was deemed suspicious. How will students function in careers? Work at home.

Re:
Kabu, I'm sorry about your husband going into permanent care. I've always loved being home until they said we had to remain at home because of the pandemic. At that point, I felt like I was in lockdown which in a way I guess we were. Things are starting to open back up but it's not the same.

I kinda liked it too, the way we were. Just my luck, my darling husband went into permanent care the week the boarders closed. The staff told me to enjoy being free and to get away to places. HAHA.

I think we probably took things for granted. I don't think it will happen very quickly future wise. Our local fairs have been canceled first time ever I would imagine. As I sit here banging away on my keyboard ,the rain is lashing aganst the window. I hope that makes you feel cooler.
