I remember ithe title but didn’t see it. Just learned it was based on a teacher of the author. I’ll have to listen to the musical score. Thank you.

Re: Re: Re: I listened to the song.

It really isn't a chic flic... At least, I wouldn't classify it as that. It is not that light-hearted and even the silly kids have an edge to them... because they are Brodie's Girls!

Re: Re: I listened to the song.

They get stuck in my head too. The fact that it is a chic-flick makes it all the more interesting to me. Those values really need to be brought back. Thank you for sharing a really cool movie. I will check it out.

Re: sassyass,

It was the theme song that got into my head and stayed there, along with all the assumptions I made from just that. This is one of those older movies that still has relevance today, it isn't just a reflection of mind-sets and values of other times.

Re: Pat,

Yeah, I thought it was sorta 'chic flic' also, but it really, really isn't. And what it is remains topical and relevant today.

I was only five when it came out, so I have no memory of it.

I do enjoy many old movies though when I have the time to actually sit down and watch one.

I remember when it came out - very popular then,

but I was up to my eyebrows in kids, job, etc., &  it was kind of a "chic flic" and not Disney.  Glad you liked it.
