Re: dear Sis

The most direct and best definition of health I found in a Sanskrit shloka in the Ayurveda meaning the knowledge of age which says that when the physical, mental and spiritual aspects are in perfect balance we  call it health. One may look healthy from outside but if he is sick internally - mental or spiritual, he does not qualify to be termed as healthy.

Excellent, dear Brother Aba. My one daughter has been practicing yoga for years and when she is unable to attend class, finds her back pain increases. She feels much better when on her program. I found your post informative and noted a few phrases in the negative when posting about the positive. Intentional? No matter. I agree that much benefit can be obtained through yoga, even for Westerners! Thank you!

Perhaps this is an ideal time to practice some kind of relaxing medication. Thank you.

Re: I have heard many good things about Yoga.

The padmasana I was talking about, if regularly done, doesn't ever lets you fall sick. I feel it to be the king of all yoga.

As an RN I taught my patients when they were in pain or were going through a painful procedure to breath in through their nose and out through their mouth. This lowered their breathing rate per minute and they would concentrate with me as we did it together. it really works.

I have heard many good things about Yoga.

The best ones are that it decreases stress, removes anxiety and prevents joint breakdown.

Yoga is an excellent way to center the body, which I do believe helps connect to the spiritual.
