I remember when that happened. I also remember there being a nice article written about it featuring our beloved Wiley. I'm glad to read the men who did it are in jail.

Wiley is so lucky to have got his money back and the culprits in jail....most of the time these people get away.These days you get all sorts of phone calls....one has learnt never to give any personal information over the phone.

I definitely remember all of that. I'm so glad you beat the odds. So many people get scammed and not many get their money back and jail time for the perpetrators.

It's a win for Wiley and that's the good thing. Yes, he would be pleased, that's for sure. What a sick bunch of bas*%rds. Those people are awful. My friend years ago was caught in a scam. And the saddest one is what happened to my father. There was no redress for him so I have a special spot in my mind for scammers.

Oh my God, that is really sick and mean.
Pretending to be a loved one goes over and beyond what any of us could ever imagine. I am so glad to hear that his money was retured plus some. It has gotten way out of control. Telemarketers do it all the time, requesting funds for various things, and scarier still is that they only need a few details about you to get the scam rolling into into action.

I remember a few years back when this scam happened. It was
widespread at the time, there were stories about others being taken for thousands - really ticked me off. I hate con artists. I cannot tell you how happy I am to learn they caught the bastards and he got his money back. This almost never happens. Time to have a hot fudge sundae with gobs of whipped cream and a cherry on top to celebrate.
