It is very confusing to be taught all your life that certain ways are right
and certain people are heroes, and then to learn by getting to know other people that there's SO MUCH MORE to the story, and that some of what you've studied as you grew up was the shaded version of the facts, less than half the truth. I have new heroes these days, including the young of all races who stood up to the powers-that-be and demanded true justice for all. So proud of them. Thank you for your post. Well said!

I enjoyed reading your post. It was thought-provoking. Perhaps it is just me, but I and my perceptions have changed and continue to change, hopefully evolving as I journey through life. My childhood bubbles did no harm, though.
