It's funny you should say that. My father did not have a great dad either. Also, I have an excellent relationship with my mother.

My brother was 17 years older than I....so I guess I was a spoiled child..."It wasn't my fault!

Excellent post. I married a wonderful guy who is also the best dad.

Neither of us had great dads, so he takes the role very seriously. Our three girls adore their dad. I was taught early on to watch how a man treat's his mother. If he show's her respect and love, then he will do the same to his wife and children.

A very good post.  My dad didn't let me get away with anything, but he sure was easy for me to love.
