While most parents I'm sure are good, you always have a few bad apples whose sole contribution to parenthood is "spitting them out and forgetting about them."

I do not totally blame the pedophile. She had to be sexually active to even consider such a liason with a grown man. We raised three girls. We kept up with their whereabouts. It takes a lot of time for a girl to get to a motel, have sex and then get back home. Parent's need to be more assertive when it comes to their kid's extracurricular activities.
