Well one had to make the best of things, I suppose one has to be careful with plants.
Ivy is a little terror here, not the poisonous one but the common green variety. It will soon smother a tree and spoil it. Archie said there is black fly on some of tHe dahlias and they are not doing well because it is so dry. I did not take a lot of notice if he thinks I am going to get up at 5am as I used to and water the plants/.
Glad Wiley has some good time for everyones sake.

Things are coming along nicely in the garden, I see. It's nice to see the season in full swing...It's beautiful what you and Wiley have.

All the bright colors of the garden will cheer you and best of all. Wiley was able to speak cogently in the phone to you. Enjoy your pretty gardens and gnomes.

I'm glad you've got your garden. It has been at least 25 years since I have had my own yard and garden for tending. They keep it well here but it is not like having your own.
