Re: Aba dear brother

The Machiavellian traits the Bard did so well observe, in Othello, Macbeth and Lear.and made great tragedies out of their foul proclivity to mainatsin and expand Absolute power, and he depicts the yawning gap that lies between unholy desires and their fulfillment and that tragedy is the inevitable outcome.

Aba dear brother

You have condensed this play so well and summed up the point, or a point or two, quite correctly. Sometimes in life there is no poetic justice and there is suffering which seems so overwhelming. Shakespeare seemed to have observed this many times somewhere to write about it in many ways. Thank you again, and I appreciate how you have captured the themes of the Bard so nicely.

Mera bhi all time favourite hai  main zindagi ka saath nibatha chala gaya, हर फ़िक्र को धुुंए में उड़ाता चला गया

Re: doLLyji

Sahir Ludhiyanvi mera favourite shayar hai. Lear ki halat Cordelia se milne par hi pata chala ... phool khilein shakhon pe naye aur dard purane yaad aye...

Suffering is an inevitable part of life like death.... one's share may vary.Choices, wrong decisions and circumstances lead to tragedies sometimes like the one your post talks about.

Sahir Ludhianavi ki ek khubsurat line yaad aa gayi....iss dil mein abhi aur bhi zakhmon ki jagah hai....

Re: Kabu

It’s one of Shakespeare’s minor tragedies but his portrayal of human intrigues are invariably magnetic. Don’t you agree? My regards to the ailing Sir and pray to god that He provide you the strength to carry on with something that is inexorable.

Not one of my favorites but certainly a wonderful portrait of wrong decisions and terrible suffering.

Lear ended up destroying his own kingdom because he chose the wrong daughter. It is a fascinating tale of famiy betrayal.

Excellent piece.

I have seen it many times. Suffering has a way of opening our eyes and giving us the wisdom to see life a bit more clearer.
