Yes it is quite pleasant to take an apple from the tree ,but I do like apple blossom.
We cut our raspberry stems down in the Autumn. I am afraid mine have been in the same place much too long.

Re: Kabu
Well of course you do not want to climb trees. It would look undignified.
The little children are always picking blackberries off the coucil hedge with runs around my fence. I try to cut the low branches as I don't think it is good for them to eat fruit probably in contact with car fumes.

Yes pat I have a couple of vines from my wine making years. Sometimes a chap comes and picks them other times I just eat a few along with the birds.

I planted grapes once at an arbor alongside the back deck. That's
when I learned how the vines keep coming and how much cutting back has to be done or they take over everything. And of course the ripe grapes attract the critters, including neighborhood skunks. They're gone now.

There are lots of Blackberry and wild apple and pear trees on this property. I leave them for the animals.

I would love to have some fruit trees. The closest that I can get are my rasberry bushes.

I wouldn't like that mud. Funny how you threw it back.Your poem is written in the voice of a master poet. Very nice.
