Re: RPresta,

That's a pretty good comparison--They are spooky like that, and there are probably areas where it is wise to hold your hand above your head!

Re: FSI,

Do you know about the Bolt Bus?  Sign up ahead of time, and you can bus up to Manhattan for a couple of dollars. Heck of a deal!

Re: TAPS,

I have ridden subways in Toronto and Rome--and Beijing, just once!  Oh, and BART in San Francisco. Never Chicago, though, or Los Angeles.

Re: sassyass,

Thanks for dipping into some of my older posts!

The New York Adventure definitely is incomplete without the subway experience!

I have never been on the subway, but I would like to just once.

I've ridden the subways in Paris and Madrid, but I have never been to New York and I've never ridden the El in Chicago.  I like the wide-open of the Out West.

I've never been on the New York subway. I have been on Boston's, and I liked it a lot. One of these days, I need to take the New York subway.

You have painted an entirely new picture of the subways in NY for me. Thank you. I think of them as something akin to Phantom of the Opera.
