Calling cards

Of course, there are times when you read an author’s work and don’t have anything to say, but still want to let the author know that you read them.

Most blogs will now have a new “Leave calling card” link under each entry, which makes this simple to do. To view calling cards left on your blogs, please go to your Write page and click “View calling cards”.

(If you have the Gold plan and are using an advanced template, learn how to add this feature; if you are a Classic subscriber using a Classic custom template, this new feature is not supported.)

Well, you could write it in increments. Add a little more to it each day or so.

I must write a post about that.  It takes too long to explain.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:

Do you mind my asking: What are "Calling Cards" and how do I use them?

Re: Re: Re: Moonwind

Thank you for reading and for your response. I truly love the Ocean and how theraputic it can be, however, to live on it scares me some because the ocean is so uncertain and can be threatening. But, like you, I too love the ocean and do my best to visit it at least 3 times a year since it is only 40 minutes away from where I live.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:

I get it, makes perfect sense to me. And, true, sometimes we loose appreciation of the splendor and wonders of the water as we get older and travel, etc.. I just dont think I can ever loose appreciation for my little piece of heaven. And, if I ever have to leave it, it will forever be in my memory.

Re: Re: Moonwind

That's how I feel about the ocean.

Re: Re: Re: Re:

I've had my share of "feeling" the water of many beautiful places throughout my lifetime.  Now that I'm an octagenarian, for me that isn't quite so important as seeing, smelling, hearing and remembering.  Perhaps remembering is the best of all.

Re: Re: Re:

I would definately want to enjoy the feel of the water. The view and sounds are lovely too, but I just love the warm sun and cool water.

Re: Re:

Actually, we are in a wooded area in the middle of the City with city rules and regulations in the parks.  It is a stretched-out city park with us living right on the edge of the whole thing.  The city says no swimming, no boating, no ice skating, no etc., etc.  But, they do stock the small lakes with crappie and something else.  People love fishing there.  I have always loved the ambiance, the walks in the woods, and nature.

Re:

Absolutely! I also love the loons. People fish Bass here. There are boats and other water crafts but they are quite small. It's the perfect pond. Not too busy, yet, your always entertained. Your pond sounds very interesting as well. Sounds like kayaking would be the ultimate tour through all five of the ponds.

Yes, it sure is even to this day. I am now retired and I couldnt amagine a day away from the pond. Thank you for reading!

It sounds like a great way to decompress after a long day.

I love living in a place where trees and water abound and the wild life are happy.  There is no boating here as the ponds are small and flow into each other along the way (five of them) but some people fish and I love the sound of the loons.

Re: Bonnie Eagle Pond

It could be. I cannot quite tell with this picture. I dont recognize this camp. We are on this side of it though. If you took another picture, I may be able to recognize something. It very well could be. I would have to walk down the road to see if I can see that exact location.  It's a half mile wide and a mile long.
