Good for you. Anyone who pays minimum wage is only paying that because legally they can't pay less.

If Bernie or AOC had their way...it would be $15/hr nationwide. You the consumer is the one who has to pay for the increase or the companies like fast food will Automate everything, reducing their employes by over 50%.
In your case...the totally automated car washes like they have at Kroger Gas Stations will show a huge increase in traffic.

It seems as the minimum wage goes up, prices also go up, but one
does have to earn enough to keep a roof overhead. Small local businesses are more aware of their workers contributions and their needs I think. I used to have a lot of admiration for the Ben & Jerry's ice cream company who made it a rule their CEO could never earn more than 6 times the salary of their lowest paid employees. Also admire companies who encourage workers to invest in company stock - gives the front line workers a lot of incentive to keep an eye on the bottom line.
