Thank you to both of you. As I just posted, I'm realizing that I'm at another turning point. Where I get off is yet to be seen, but the events of the past month or so has brought about changes in me, around me, and to me. It's not a trauma, it's just a change. I'm realizing that I need to refine what's left of my life, be it twenty years or twenty minutes. I need to refocus my attention on the things that are important to me.

That this is so difficult shows your empathy has not been
impaired by all the tough situations you've experienced. I don't relate well to sloppy sentiment or what I call romance novel drama. Good job! Also, as to sharing this with young readers - kids are witness to and victims of every thing adults face, and if they're old enough to ask a question, they deserve a truthful answer and information they can use to withstand and overcome adversities. Love your thoughtfulness on this post.
