Re: PAT
Dad did have a little phobia after the war we were given an a block of ice cream/
I remember watching it melt . When he to told his cousin the ice cream was bad he was enlightened it was Coffee ice cream. We had never heard of ice cream for yonks occasionally having a paper cup of frozen custard called ice cream, but that was on holiday.

It reminds me of Halloween and getting rid of suspicious candy...It is quite the mental tussle you write of.

Walking to school was just what kids did then. Good for your dad watching out for you. I imagine not that many guys are interestrd in dating women wrestlers? Perhaps other wrestlers would be interested though. Who knows?

Thank you for sharing these two.
I liked the dad protecting his little ones, even though it kept them from enjoying a sweet. As for the man all trussed up and pulled together, -- advanced age is not for sissies... (and I have a refrigerator magnet that says so).
