Talk about an aggressive newbie. Hopefully, she stops coming to meetings. We've had a few employees like that over the years, and they ended up getting let go.

Just don't expect her to change. Nine chances out of ten she won't. She is Agnes all over.

Pat - She owes you an apology and the entire group for being disruptive and
antagonistic, imho. I agree with everyone's comments here. This type of person is a bane to the group. We all have our breaking points and you are the core of the group. There is no reason for you to leave, rather, there is every reason for you to stay. Stand your ground, and keep your seat. WTF? Why should you leave? Perhaps she can find a place within the group, make nice with everyone and play by the rules.

Of course you must stay Pat. Just ignore her. Anyway you are in charge of that class and she is lucky to be even considered after that performance. I hope she just leaves.

I would not compromise with that one... Keep your seat, and welcome her not to come back until she understands the rules of the group. Rude people rely on the niceness of the people around them. When she interrupts, interrupt her back, and remind her of the rules. Give her a written copy next time, maybe, and then you can save time by reminding her by number. That's what I would do, I like to think... rather than losing my temper and roaring. But I know myself... It would touch and go!

That's just awful. Life is too short to have to deal with people like that.
