That particular story has had a lot of suction, and drew in a lot of people, myself included, first one way then another... but finally, I'd say a lot of people made some dumb choices there and after... as humans do. Meanwhile a lot of much more important but less sucky stuff has been going on while we've wasted our energies on these basically awful people.

No one can be perfect all the time.  I read you because you do a great job here on Blogit.  If you made a mistake, it only shows that you are human.  We all make mistakes.

as I understand it you weren't all that wrong dear. The black activists were a group calling themselves Black Jewish Hebrews and yes started taunting some kids who were there but then heaps more kids came along ready to pick on everyone...Supposedly, and don't quote me because who knows but I did see a tweet from the mother of the boy stating that it is a shame that more blankets laced with smallpox weren't given to the first nation people. ...naturally i have not used her every word, they were crude expletives.

but what is true and what is fake, in MHO, the elder did not need to be faced off like this and the kid has apologized.

Pat

From the way it was presented in the media at first, many of us, including myself, forgot that there could be another view of the incident. It seemed to clear. I was certainly one of those people.

Trust in the media is at an all-time low. The media needs to do a better job at getting all of the facts before running with stories. That is one bad element of the commercial nature of the media. Everybody wants to be ahead with the scoop.
