One has to be careful with horse manure now herbicides are used it could wipe out plants as a Dahlia Grower found. We used to cart a couple of tons of poultry manure away each week and now buy a pack of poultry pelleted droppings it does feel ironic.

I suppose the demand is always there,although House Builders have had a rough time, the houises are much too expensive fot young folk even with loans from the goverment.

My mother was an expert gardner, knew what there was to know about
manure and mulch, etc. We had chickens, which ensured our fertilizer supply would be dependable. I think horse manure is less pungent than that produced by hogs or cows, and more tolerable to the nose.
